Feature Friday: Apps for Small Businesses

Most of us know that mobile apps can make life easier, but did you ever think that they could make running your small business easier too? Here are a few mobile apps that we appreciate as a growing start-up.

Expensify: Consistently rated as the #1 app for business travelers and road warriors, Expensify does expense reports that don’t suck! The system automates your entire expense reporting process. The app can sync with your credit cards and bank accounts to track purchases as they happen.

Harvest: Track time and log expenses on-the-go, whether you’re online or offline. A beautiful flip-clock counts the number of billable hours and minutes you’ve been working. The expense tracker allows you to upload photos of your receipts as you enter expenses so you keep all your records organized.

Square: Square allows you to accept credit cards anywhere from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Pay one rate of 2.75% per swipe for Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover. The funds are deposited into your bank account the next business day.

iTeleport: iTeleport is an app that lets you control your computer from anywhere. Browse and edit any file in your entire hard drive from your iPhone or iPad.
